Gardening Questions – The Most Answered Questions About Gardening That Anybody Can Answer

by John

Are you in need of some good tips on how to grow your own herbs, strawberries, or a variety of other garden plants? Have you asked other gardeners for some helpful advice? There are many gardening questions and answers out there, but very few are tried and true. Here is a list of some frequently asked gardening questions and their answers. Hopefully this will help you with your gardening questions and give you the confidence to start growing whatever it is you want in your garden.

How much sunlight do you need for your garden? Some plants will need more sunlight than others, depending on what they are used for. Sunflowers are much easier to grow in the shade because they don’t have to get much sunlight to grow. But, be aware that most tomatoes and peppers will not do well in direct sunlight. They will do best in partial shade, maybe three quarters of an inch.

Should you compost your soil? Many gardeners are surprised to find out that composting the soil is not only good for your plants, but also good for the soil itself. Composting not only improves the quality of the soil, it also helps remove the extra nutrients that can get washed away in other forms of water.

Do you fertilize your plants? Fertilizing your plants is important to keep them healthy and increase the chances of them growing. However, you should know that there is such a thing as too much fertilizer. The soil may have already been over-farmed, and you need to start over with a different fertilizer.

How much water do you give your plants? Every plant needs a certain amount of water for optimal growth. But, excessive watering can be harmful to the roots of the plants. Excessive watering can also drown the roots, which is bad news if you’re in a drought. If you do need to give your plants too much water, make sure to do so in small amounts. You can use a sprinkler system, or simply water the area of the plant where you want it to grow, then just mist it up from the top.

These gardening questions aren’t always an easy answer, but they’re definitely worth asking. There’s no better way to learn about gardening than by actually doing it, and learning by doing. Good luck!
